How to recover deleted partition?
The latest hard drives are relatively larger compared to older hard drive i.e. they have greater storage capacity. Partitioning such hard drives provides tremendous flexibility in hard drive organization. Each physical hard drive is organized into primary, extended and logical partitions. You can have up to 4 different primary partitions and one primary partition need to be marked as “active”. This active partition contains boot loader to load the Operating System. If you need more than 4 partitions then you can extend by converting one of the primary partitions to as many logical partitions. Different Operating Systems can be installed on single hard disk by using different partitions. Each partition can be formatted to different file system. Every Operating System offers different tools to format the hard drive like in Windows, you can either use DOS command or Windows Disk Management Utility to format the hard drive. When you format the drive or partition, any data that the drive or partition may held is completely removed. Therefore, be sure that you don’t need that data i.e. the drive that you are formatting does not contains essential data. Windows Disk Management Utility can also be used to view properties, to delete partitions, to change drive letter etc. Sometimes, you may accidentally delete the partitions resulting in loss of data. No need to worry, you can use reliable data recovery tool to recover deleted partition.
Master Boot Record corruption is the common problem that causes data loss. Generally, the 4 primary partitions are controlled and managed by MBR. MBR is located on first sector of hard disk. When you boot the Operating System, the first sector where MBR is located is accessed. Because, it determines which partition contains your Operating System and then redirects the system to access boot sector of that partition in order to load the Operating System. Virus attack is the main reason for MBR corruption. Viruses attack both MBR and boot loader easily. When you boot, virus present in MBR redirects the system to an infected boot sector then virus is loaded into memory before loading your Operating System from the valid boot sector. This may pops up error messages that does not allow you to access data resulting in data loss.
In order to avoid data loss, take backup so that you can restore lost data easily from backup file. Make use of updated antivirus program in order to avoid data loss due to virus attacks. If you have lost the data then do not use that partition to avoid permanent data loss.
